What Our Customers Are Saying
Salesforce and Nonprofits
Salesforce is the world’s # 1 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, and an amazing tool for nonprofits.
Whether you are looking for a solution for fundraising, volunteering, service delivery, advocacy, membership or anything else a nonprofit needs a technology platform for, Salesforce can do it. It’s incredibly flexible and puts a lot of power in the hands of nonprofits to own their technology and thus customise it for their own very specific needs.

Hiring someone with Salesforce for Nonprofit skills is tough in Australia right now. The Salesforce customer base has been growing so fast that people with experience get snatched up quickly, and the salary expectations are through the roof. This is especially difficult for nonprofits with a limited budget who also need employees to understand complex things like fundraising, volunteering and service delivery.
Quite often what this means is that nonprofits need to compromise when recruiting Salesforce skills, and either hire someone with Salesforce experience but no nonprofit knowledge, or hire someone with great Raiser’s Edge experience who wants to learn Salesforce. So what do you do if the person you’re about to recruit is missing some of the key skills you need?
Salesforce Mentors can help! We have over a decade of experience solving nonprofit problems using Salesforce technology, and we can support your people to learn Salesforce, nonprofit concepts or to understand what makes a good Salesforce System Administrator.

Everyone working within a non-profit organisation wears at least two hats, if not seven! Are you the Fundraising Manager, and Board Secretary, AND Web Developer and now you need to be the Salesforce System Administrator as well?
We’ve been there, and we know how daunting that can be.
Salesforce has some great resources online to teach yourself everything you need to know, but that’s assuming you have the time to wade through Salesforce Trailheads and other online resources to find the answer you need. Which secret checkbox is preventing your users from being able to create campaigns? You could lose hours Googling this question in different forms to solve this problem.
Salesforce Mentors are here to help. We’ve had that problem, and we’ve spent hours finding the answers so you don’t have to. We’ll work with your nonprofit to fast track your learning so you can focus on solving problems instead of trying to work out what the problem even is!

There are lots of great Salesforce partners out there that can help you implement Salesforce, and most of them also have great support packages to help fix bugs that you report on once you’re up and running.
Salesforce Mentor can work alongside an implementation partner to build the capacity of your internal team. This means that your System Administrator can make better use of the support offered by an implementation partner so you get the best value for your spend.
Alternatively, if the project team finishes at the end of the implementation, Salesforce Mentor will make sure that you aren’t completely without support and we will help your team transition to day to day management of Salesforce for your nonprofit.

The best thing about working at nonprofits is to work alongside a skilled, motivated team of people who care about making a difference. So many nonprofits have an amazing group of people who can solve any problem given a little bit of help. Unfortunately getting Salesforce help can be very costly, whether it’s recruiting an experienced System Administrator or working with a Salesforce for nonprofit partner.
Salesforce Mentor helps you to get the most out of a limited budget by helping your existing team be more efficient and effective at solving problems in Salesforce for nonprofits. When you do have a large piece of complex work that needs a partner to complete, a mentor can help your team understand the process and keep the project on track.
